Choco Story

VR Experience

Our team was commissioned to make a Virtual Reality (VR) experience about the origins of chocolate. When visiting the Choco Story museum in Brussels (Belgium), visitors can enjoy the experience through a HTC Vive Pro device.

First, the visitor is introduced to a ship’s captain who will be their guide. Then they are taken on a boat ride through the jungle to view a Mayan cacao plantation. After that, they travel to a Mayan city to learn more about the processing of the beans and Mayan culture. In the evening, they partake in the ‘Cacao ritual’.

I worked on the project as an environment artist, 3D artist and Unity Developer.

Quite honestly, this is the best museum I have visited so far! The team is lovely and the museum extremely successful. It’s not just about the history of chocolate and tastings, it’s also a complete immersion in the Mayan civilization and the journey of chocolate around the world, from design to export. So much to say, but I let you discover! I sincerely recommend going there and taking the VR option to be immersed for several minutes in the temples, markets and Mayan forests as well as the audioguide!

A great program for big and small! This great chocolate museum presents the whole way, from picking to selling, the chocolate in a beautiful way. For 5 € per capita you can buy an extra program, a 15 minute VR adventure. I really recommend it VERY, as it is very realistic and so you can learn a lot about the chocolate beans in a very futuristic way. It would be a mistake to omit this, you can not go wrong! Definitely € 5 worth.

Excellent museum perfectly complete. Neither too long nor too short because makes its subject very interesting. The VR experience is excellent. To advice.
